About
Freelancer: Sirius Revival is a multiplayer-only modifaction for Freelancer. It overhauls the entire game with a strong focus on multiplayer (single-player being disabled). The mod's aim is to remain as lore-friendly as possible and only add content when necessary. The principle is to offer original content reworked primarily, to keep the original atmosphere of the game.

Download &s Installation
The mod comes with its own launcher to download the necessary files and keep them always updated.
- An english original and unmodified version of Freelancer is required. The mod will permanently modify the selected Freelancer installation. Make a copy of it before!
- Download the Freelancer: Sirius Revival Launcher to install the mod.
- If you installed Freelancer on Windows in the default path (
C:\Program Files...
) you must start the Launcher with Admin Rights. - To play Freelancer: Sirius Revival, please always use the launcher. This ensures that all files are up to date.
Error messages in the Launcher
Error: Could not load list of updates!
Answer: Make sure your firewall does not block the launcher. If it still does not work, the download server might be unreachable.
Error: List of updates is invalid!
Answer: The download went wrong. Please press "Check Mod" again.
Error: Error while updating!
Answer: If your mod is being installed to C:\Programm Files...

Feature List
General
- Fixed various original game bugs
- Increased Cruise speed to 500 m/s
- Increased Trade Lane speed to 5000 m/s
- Increased docking and undocking speed
- Maximum amount of credits increased to 2,147,483,647
- All ships (except Nomads) can be acquired
- Big ships use mooring points on planets and stations
- Ship sale with 75% of the original value
- Death Penalty based on ship, equipment and cargo value

Balancing
- Overhauled NPC spawns: NPCs of all levels can be found across the universe – can be very challenging!
- Overhauled Mission offers: Mission of all levels can be found across the universe
- Overhauled Weapons and Equipment: Everything was redesigned from scratch with focus on multiplayer experience
- Overhauled Shield balancing: Weapon types and shield types influence each other much more
- Overhauled Ship balancing: Ships of similar classes have very similar statistics and behaviour
- Reputation only acquirable by destroying ships and objects (exception for Bounty Hunters and Zoners). Missions give no more reputation (except for Bounty Hunters).
- Mass of ships, equipment, and cargo influences on manouverability
- Firing "around corners" for players reduced to 15° (original 40°)
- Redesigned Artefact Weapons (former Class 10) with all unique mechanics
- Reworked trading goods prices, mass and cargo-hold volumes

FL:SR Server Rules
General
- The usage of hacks or cheats is not allowed.
- Follow common sense. No insults or any other unsavoury behaviour.
- It is just a game. Be it PvP or PvE contents.
- Help your fellow players if they require it.
- Characters with inappropriate names will be removed.
- Loss of items or progress due bugs of the mod will be replaced on request.
Clans
- Clans playing on the server shall present themselves in the
#clan-overview
on our Discord Server. Do use clan tags in the game only with such presentation. - Clan descriptions must not conflict with Freelancer lore and FL:SR’s additions to it.
Role Play Aspects
- Name your characters with ships bigger than freighters appropriately. Example: "BAF-London" or "Transport-Alpes". Renames can be requested for free by an server admin.
- Players liking to take up role-playing should be met with respect for it. However, role-play as such is purely optional.
- Your role-playing must not conflict with Freelancer lore and FL:SR’s additions to it.
- You must not take control over entire existing factions or important lore/story characters. You may be only a part of them.
- Role-play must be done within the usual rule-set: No power-gaming, no meta-gaming, no god-moding.
